Something New
I have created a good number of reels on Instagram, but I am expanding.
I have posted videos on Facebook and Instagram before. Most often, they have been about art and my painting process.
I am now going to be expanding the number of videos I post on social media, and they will include most everything I might do in a day.
My thinking is that everything we do affects everything we do.
With that in mind, people will get a peek into our lives here at Red Earth Farm.
I started with a video of harvesting what we call a 100 percent meal. That means we grew everything. I showed what the harvest looks like on a plate.
I also made one of rendering down beef tallow for cooking oil.
Why am I doing it? Well, the creative process fascinates me. I feel most alive when I am creating something. This new project will allow me to think about short-form film and to see where that fits in my creative life.
Where To See My Reels
Right now, my videos are available on
Facebook @Raven Waters
Instagram @raven waters_artist.
As soon as I figure it out, I will be uploading these videos to my YouTube account, and I will provide links.
Let Me Know
Do you watch social media reels? Do you have any suggestions for what you would like to see in my new series of documentary reel-making?
Popular Savannah Art Show Is This Saturday, May 9, 2026
Last weekend, rain forced organizers to reschedule SLAM, the Savannah Local Artist Market.
The new date is this Saturday, May 9.
It takes place in the Salvation Army Ballfield at 3000 Bee Road.
I’ll be there. I’ve spent time this week picking out paintings to bring. I have picked out over 100 paintings that I will have with me. They include a large painting of a great blue heron.
Latest Art
My latest art is another portrait of Frida Kahlo.

I enjoy your reels! I’d like to see your animals, the barn, your tools, and your property from the turnoff to your driveway to the house or an outbuilding. Let’s make pizza or bread!
